CENTENNIAL, CO - The American Galvanizers Association (AGA) will host a “Galvanize It! Duplex Systems" webinar on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 1 p.m. ET.
The one-hour "Galvanize It! Duplex Systems" webinar provides an overview about hot-dip galvanized steel and the synergistic benefits when coated with a paint or powder coating on top. Webinar content includes an overview of hot-dip galvanizing and duplex systems as well as the benefits of duplex systems, specifying duplex systems, and preparing the HDG surface. This webinar will help specifiers understand the hot-dip galvanizing process and coating benefits, identify the benefits of utilizing paint/powder coating with hot-dip galvanizing in a duplex system, recognize the importance of communication and clear assignments of responsibility for a successful outcome, and differentiate between HDG surface conditions in order to properly prepare the zinc coating for a duplex system.
An outline of the webinar is available here. One hour of CEU, LU, or PDH will be awarded to participants.
About American Galvanizers Association
The American Galvanizers Association (AGA) is a not-for-profit trade association dedicated to serving the needs of specifiers, architects, engineers, contractors, fabricators, and after-fabrication hot-dip galvanizers throughout North America. Since 1933, the AGA has provided information on the most innovative applications and state-of-the-art technological developments in hot-dip galvanizing for corrosion control. The AGA maintains a large technical library, provides multimedia seminars, and offers a technical support line to assist specifiers. It also provides a number of services to galvanizers and zinc producers in the industry, including serving as a process technology research and information resource, liaison to environmental and safety regulatory authorities, and an active member of committees within specification, corrosion, and government transportation and infrastructure agencies. The association celebrates more than 80 years of preserving the past, enhancing the present, and protecting the future. For more information, visit. https://galvanizeit.org/.
