DALLAS, TX – The National Corrugated Steel Pipe Association (NCSPA) announced that its Board of Directors has promoted Michael McGough as Executive Director.
Speaking on behalf of the board, current president Dan Kadrmas with member TrueNorth Steel says, “We very much appreciate Mike’s efforts and his service to the NCSPA.  The board believes he has the right mix of technical, operational, and communication skills and leadership abilities to execute the association’s mission.”

McGough said, “I am honored, excited, and fortunate to have been given the opportunity to help in leading this vital industry.” Since joining the NCSPA in 2007, McGough has been serving as the NCSPA’s chief engineer and technical director.  His primary efforts in these roles were spearheading specification improvements and research initiatives  for the industry, while participating in state and national committees for organizations such as the American Association of State and Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO), American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), ASTM International, and Transportation Research Board (TRB).

His vision is for a sustainable NCSPA that is the primary resource to agencies, engineers, contractors, legislators, members, academia, associates, partners, and competitors regarding public policy and education for the specification, design and installation of corrugated steel drainage products and other pipe materials.

“Having worked with him now for over 12 years, Mike possesses the technical leadership and vision that produces results and carries the industry into the future,” said Jerry Silagyi with Lane Enterprises.

A graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, McGough earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering in 1999. Mike has 20 years of experience in the research, design, manufacturing, testing, and inspection of products and materials involved in the construction of our transportation system.
