STI to Host Webinar on "Navigating AISC 360-16 HSS Connection Design: Design Examples" on December 4, 2019

GLENVIEW, IL - The Steel Tube Institute (STI) will host a webinar on "Navigating AISC 360-16 HSS Connection Design: Design Examples” on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. CST. The webinar awards 1 PDH per registration.

As a follow-up to the November webinar, this session will present several design examples to illustrate the differences between AISC 360-10 and AISC 360-16 in HSS connection design. A shear connection, truss connection and moment connection will be presented, and handouts will be available for future reference.

The webinar will cover:

  • Single plate share connection to rectangular HSS design in both AISC 360-10 and AISC 360-16.
  • Cap plate connection design in both AISC 360-10 and AISC 360-16.
  • Cutout plate moment connection design in both AISC 360-10 and AISC 360-16.
  • Rectangular gapped-K truss connection design in both AISC 360-10 and AISC 360-16.
