STI to Host Webinar on What Designers Should Know About HSS Dimensions and Material Availability

April 12, 2019

GLENVIEW, IL - The Steel Tube Institute (STI) will host a webinar on "What Designers Should Know About Hollow Structural Section (HSS) Dimensions and Material Availability" on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. CDT. The webinar awards 1 PDH per registration (New York excluded).

This webinar will cover the following topics:

  • Review the differences between HSS and pipe sections,
  • Explain how hollow structural sections are formed,
  • Discuss the availability and minimum quantity orders for various HSS shapes, and
  • Explore material availability, jumbo sections, and AESS considerations.

The webinar will be conducted by Kim Olson, P.E., Structural Engineer at FORSE Consulting.
