Steel Industry Code Forum
The Steel Industry Code Forum is a group of key steel construction partner associations that meet twice each year to provide a forum for collaboration on codes, standards and other technical issues and to improve communication among its members.
Relationships developed and strengthened through the Steel Industry Code Forum allow the associations to work effectively towards common objectives at code hearings and other venues. The recent emphasis for the group has been on identifying key issues and drivers, defining competitive forces, developing industry strategies and monitoring industry progress.
The members of the Steel Industry Code Forum are listed under Steel Construction Organizations.
The Steel Coalition was created in 1997 by several organizations to study how walking and working on steel decking and roofing could be made safer during construction. The objective was to present related recommendations to the Steel Erection Negotiated Rulemaking Advisory Committee (SENRAC) and the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) by 2004.
